Weather is a factor that may limit fishing and transit times. If the Captain determines sea conditions are too hazardous, the trip can be modified to fish in safer conditions or rescheduled.

Violation of any of the above mentioned rules or those found in the Waiver Agreement and Charter Contract will result in immediate termination of the trip with no refund.
Florida weather can be unpredictable. If the captain determines conditions are too risky to continue, he will return to the dock and prorate the trip as described and agreed upon in the charter contract.
Pickup and Drop-Off will be at the Swoope Boat Ramp on New Smyrna's Mainland
Located at 2455 Boat Ramp Dr, New Smyrna Beach, FL 32168 off of US-1 by the New Smyrna Beach Airport.
There is a fee to park for non Florida FIND District residents to be paid at a kiosk upon arrival.
Car parking is by the restrooms and also in the grass on the western edge of the lot along the fence. DO NOT park in spots designated for boat trailers.
Snap Decision Charters is not responsible for parking fees, any damages that may occur while parked in lot, or any fines associated with non payment of permit or towing.

How do I book a charter?You can book a trip online using our website. Select anywhere you see "Book Now" or select "Book Online" from the menu and choose the package that you prefer. A $100 deposit will be required to book, the balance will be paid when you arrive before leaving the dock. The balance can be paid with cash or card. Not sure which package to choose? Feel free to call us at (386)576-7683 and we'll help you find what you're looking for.

What forms of payment do you accept?Snap Decision Charters accepts all major credit cards as well as cash. Venmo and Zelle are also accepted. You will need a credit card to make your deposit to hold your reservation.

What time should I arrive?Fishing Charters depart the dock at 7am so please arrive no later than 6:50am. River Cruises depart at 9am so its best to arrive by 8:50am. River Cruise times can be customized if we're available.

Where do I meet the boat?Pickup and Drop-Off will be at the Swoope Boat Ramp on New Smyrna's mainland located at 2455 Boat Ramp Dr, New Smyrna Beach, FL 32168 off of US-1 by the New Smyrna Beach Airport. Please refer to the map on our "Charter Packages" webpage. Once you park and obtain your parking permit at the kiosk, you will find Snap Decision waiting for you at the dock in the light blue boat.

Does it cost to park?If your vehicle is not registered as a current New Smyrna Beach or Florida FIND District annual parking permit holder, YES, $20 to be paid at the kiosk, so note your vehicle's tag number. Parking at the boat ramp is strictly enforced 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Boat launch parking violation fines are $100.

Are there any forms I need to sign?Yes, each passenger will be required to sign a Waiver and Release Agreement. Additionally the member of your party that is paying for the trip will be required to sign a Charter Contract. All documents will be signed upon arrival at the dock prior to departure.

Will other parties be on this trip with me?You are booking a private charter with up to four people of your choosing.

What should I bring?Sunscreen (NOT spray sunscreen, it makes the boat very slippery), sunglasses, hat/visor, food/snacks, beverages. Please bring your food and drinks in small bags, we will provide space in our coolers.

What should I wear?Summertime can be very hot with little wind. Shorts, hat, sunglasses and a light shirt are recommended. Face buffs are also a great way to keep the sun off. Afternoon showers may occur so a poncho or light rain jacket isn't a bad idea. Fall, winter and spring can be cooler in the mornings, so pants and layer shirts with jackets or hoodies. If you're joining us for a River Cruise, Hawaiian shirts please!

What is provided?We provide everything you will need to catch the fish - rods, reels, tackle, bait, chum, ice, bottled water, fishing licenses, fuel and safety equipment.

Is there anything I should NOT bring?Please do not bring poles, tackle, coolers, spray sunscreen, bait, nets, hard liquor, glass bottles, red wine, drugs (including Rx'd marijuana products).

Will I need to bait my own hook?Only if you want to. Our Captain will be glad to bait your hook for you if you prefer.

Can I bring my own fishing pole?Please do not. We provide all the quality equipment you need which is suited for the style of fishing of the day.

Is food and drink provided?No, please bring any food and drinks you like, (just not hard liquor, red wine or glass bottles). We will always have some bottles of water and ice on hand.

Can I bring alcohol?You may bring canned beer, seltzers and other brewed beverages, but do not bring hard liquor or glass bottles. We prefer you bring beers in aluminum bottles as they can be recapped and rechilled in the cooler if left out. **Please drink responsibility and do not become impaired. The Captain will promptly end the trip with no refund if passengers are determined to be intoxicated.**

Can I keep the fish we catch?Yes, as long as they are in season and of legal size. You can take them home whole or Snap Decision can filet them for you. Ask about our filet packaging services (additional fees apply).

Will you filet my fish for me?Yes, any fish we bring back can be fileted by Snap Decision if you wish. We can also offer to package and flash freeze your catch so you can save it for a later date (additional fees apply to packaging and freezing option).

Can I swim, snorkel or dive?Sorry, no. Everyone must remain in the boat until we arrive back to the dock.

I get seasick, is this for me?Fishing charters will be in the ocean and if you are known to suffer from seasickness to the point that you are not having a good time and most remedies don't do the trick, you may want to sit this one out or consider booking one of our River Cruises. ** Consult your physician to determine the best motion sickness remedy for you. There are non-medicinal remedies that work for some people such as seasickness wrist acupressure bands. Also, try to avoid alcohol the evening prior.**

Can we turn around if I get seasick?That will be up to the majority or head of your party. If the trip is cut short due to seasickness, you will still be charged the full trip price.

Do you offer gift certificates?Yes, please contact us to order gift certificates. Certificates will be good for up to 1 year from date of purchase.

Do I need a fishing license?No, Snap Decision has all the fishing licenses/permits handled.

How many people can come?Fishing Charters can include up to 4 people in your party. River Cruises are good for up to 6 passengers.

Is there a cancellation fee?If you do not cancel or reschedule within 48 hours of the booked trip, your $200 deposit will not be refunded.

What if I'm running late?Please be on time. The boat needs to free up dock space and depart at 7am. If you are running a few minutes late, please call Snap Decision Charters to let them know your estimated time of arrival. If you are running more than 30 minutes late, you will forfeit your trip and deposit.

What if the weather is going to be too bad?The Captain will keep his eye weather conditions leading up to your trip. If forecasts show that weather will be too bad to fish, he will reach out to you and either reschedule or refund your deposit.

Can you pick me up or drop me off at my dock?That depends. If you are located in an area near Ponce Inlet, possible arrangements can be made. Please contact us to discuss.

Can kids come?Kids 7 years old and up are more than welcome for our Fishing Charters, but sorry children 6 and under can not participate. Children under 7 are welcome on River Cruises, just keep in mind they will be required to wear a USCG approved lifejacket at all times while on board.

What will we catch?That depends on the season. Our waters are abundant with various snapper species, sharks are prevalent, as well as king mackerel, cobia, grouper, mahi and many other fish from small to very large. Regardless, you will have a great time.

Will we see dolphin or other wildlife?Most likely you will not only see dolphin, but giant sea turtles, manatees, various seabirds, huge manta rays and possibly a whale.

Where do I go to the bathroom?The boat is supplied with a private toilet. Due to Coast Guard regulations, it may only be used 3 miles or more from shore. There is a restroom at the dock as well.
